Retail therapy comes to Bree

I’ve always had mixed feelings about Lalia’s Market. For myself at least, half the fun of designing outfits is in the acquisition and hoarding of nearly every article of clothing that crosses my path, which has been a driving force for me to explore most of the paths within the game. To some extent, Lalia’s Market takes away from this side of the experience, but the fact remains that it offers a wide enough selection of pieces for players to get started on designing their own outfits without having to level an army of alts and push them through old raids, PvP, crafting etc. This is a good thing, as is the monthly rotation of outfits on the apparel dummies – many of which still evoke admiration, and showed me what could be done with the game’s peerless cosmetic system. While I may cringe a little inwardly at the price tags on some of the items (that means you, items that cost 20 mithril coins but are available elsewhere for a handful of marks or silver) and mutter imprecations at WB’s avarice, this is but a quibble. Pictured below is an average shopping trip to Lalia’s Market.
